Tourism

The ski resort is located in the western part of Javorníky in Protected area called Kysuce, nearby strand area of Marikovský stream and under Friňov saddleback (916 above sea level) in the main ridge of Javorníky mountain range. It is the area of little affected Javorníky environment, providing high-quality recreation for all generations, lovers of active workouts and pure nature.

Javorník cottage is a newly established place which offers accommodation in 2 five-bedded and 2 four-bedded apartments and in 4 rooms designed for 2 people. The cottage capacity is approximately 30 places together with extra beds. All apartments are equipped with TV, toilet, and shower. The cottage location is directly under the ski lift which offers a view of the slope.

Catering is secured in a dining room with a capacity of 150 places. The menu is based on traditional home cooking and on a taste of guests of this resort. The area traditionally hosts an event called “pig-slaughter on snow” where pork specialities of Slovak cuisine are served during one winter weekend. A snack bar is also available.

Services

Winter stays offer superb skiing opportunities on the slopes with two ski lifts for adults, 1000 and 720-meter-long ski lifts and a children lift which is 250 meter-long, furthermore it offers also well prepared cross-country trails with a length of 120 km.
