The reservoir, also called a Dam of youth, is 12 kilometre-long and 1 kilometre-wide. This recreation area provides space for many activities in the form of water sports, or the possibility of sailing cruise on a dam with Katamaran ship. The reservoir is also an important fishing district which attracts quite a few fans of this kind of sport activity. Hiking in the surrounding park and to distant Javorníky is a great choice for hikers and cyclists –it offers easy walks through forests with magnificent views of the surroundings.
