Pružinská Dúpna jaskyňa (“Dúpna cave”)
he cave entrance is placed 590 metres above sea level in the hillside of Čierny vrch above the Rečica valley close to a part of Pružina named – Priedhorie. The cave was formed in Mesozoic limestones by the impact of ground water. It is approximately 300-metre-long and its main part is formed by specious ascending hall. In the rear side of the hall, which is ended by a cave-in, there are massive dripstone stalactites and stalagmites, sinter and structures of different forms cover walls and ceiling of the cave. At some places, there are visible writings left by cave visitors from the beginning of the last century, however the cave was populated by a man in the Stone Age. Pružinská Dúpna cave is open from 1st May till 31st.
October, however it is necessary to announce it to a Cave club of Strážovské hills.
