The chapel was built by inhabitants of Záskalie with a help of the then village office during deep totalitarianism even though it was clear that it wouldn’t be possible to get permission to construct such building, so the chapel was located in a place, where it wasn’t visible from the main road. The construction was financed from the collections of fellow citizens who additionally donated building material and construction machinery which was borrowed free of charge. All assisting and technical works were carried out without compensation. The chapel was secretly consecrated on 6thDecember 1987. From that date, a holy mass takes place in the chapel every year in September.
